Sheboygan County Busted Mugshots
The Sheriff's Department Correctional Division runs Sheboygan County's jail. It's called the Adult Detention Center. You'll find it at 2923 S. 31st Street in Sheboygan. What the public gets is a weekday-morning PDF named the Current Inmate List. It covers adults housed there at the time it was produced. That's the whole product. It is not a booking archive, a photo gallery, or a roster of every arrest in the county.
A custody list and a court case are separate things, too. The PDF may show that someone is in custody. A booking or incident record held by the Sheriff is different. That one usually takes a narrow public-records request. Once a circuit-court case goes public, read the charges and the outcome in the court file.
Sheboygan Custody PDF Records
The county's PDF keeps its fields to a minimum. Check the report date and time first. Then scan the name lines by hand. There is no search box, no filters, no profile pages, and no charge lookup. Treat any jail ID in the document as a county detention reference unless the agency says otherwise.
| Visible field | What it identifies |
|---|---|
| Last, first, and middle name | The name as recorded on that current-custody report. |
| ID | A county list identifier, not stated to be a court case number or WI DOC number. |
| Gender and age | Basic identifiers displayed with the name. |
| Report date/time and total housed | The timing and total for that particular report, not a booking-date window. |
Plenty of things you might expect are simply absent from the PDF. No photo. No booking date or time, no charge, no bond, no projected release, no court date, no address, no arresting agency, no housing location, and no history. Those gaps matter. Someone may have been booked after the report came out, released before it, moved to another facility, or held outside the adult system entirely.
Sheboygan Busted Booking Records
Want a Sheriff-held arrest, booking, or administrative record in Sheboygan County? Start at the Sheriff Open Records Requests page. It offers two forms. One is digital-fillable, and one is printable. Send completed requests to sheriffrecords@sheboygancounty.com. Corrections material has its own channel. That is the county's separate Correctional Records Request Form.
- Identify the person and provide useful locating details, such as an approximate booking or incident date, a report or case number if known, and the arresting agency.
- Name the exact responsive record sought. A focused request might ask for a booking sheet or a “booking photograph, if maintained and releasable.”
- Send the request to the Sheriff records custodian, or direct corrections material to the Adult Detention Center, 2923 S. 31st Street, Sheboygan, WI 53081-4612.
- Allow for review, redaction, and the county’s stated effort to process requests within 10 working days. Digital records requiring redaction may take longer.
- Use the originating city police department for that department’s incident report, and use the court rather than the jail for court-file material.
The Sheriff's published fee schedule is itemized. Black-and-white paper copies run $0.012 per page. Digital copies cost $1.19 per record, by attachment or physical medium. Processing past five minutes adds $1.19 per five-minute block. Media prices are listed too: a thumb drive under 64GB is $5, a 128GB drive is $10, a CD is $0.20, and a DVD is $0.30. Anything under $2 is free. Above $5, the county may ask for prepayment, and actual postage can be added. Note: these are records-access fees, not a mugshot price, and no booking-photo fee or photo-release guarantee is published.
Sheboygan Busted-Mugshot Records Law
The backbone of Wisconsin's public-records law is Wis. Stat. §§ 19.31-19.39. Section 19.31 lays out the access policy, § 19.35 covers access and copying, and § 19.36 handles limitations and exceptions. Release of every record or image is not guaranteed. The Sheriff flags active or open cases as unavailable and names categories that may be redacted or removed, among them juvenile-related material, confidential-informant information, certain driver data, and protected contact details.
No Wisconsin statute was found that requires sheriffs to publish booking photos, sets a statewide paid-removal rule, or forces commercial mugshot sites to take a photo down. So keep any photo request specific and conditional on the record existing and being releasable. The county PDF itself has no photos at all.
For clearing a conviction, Wisconsin's main expunction statute is Wis. Stat. § 973.015, and the court's CR-266 expunction form is the official starting point. But that court-record process does not automatically reach law-enforcement files, old news stories, or a publisher's separate page. For a correction, go through the actual custodian's process with supporting court paperwork where it applies. If an originating page has truly changed or vanished, Google's Remove Outdated Content tool can prompt a refresh of stale search results. It will not touch a page that is still live.
Sheboygan Booking Record Costs
Sheboygan County's itemized fees and 10-working-day effort give you a real path to follow. They do not promise that a record will be produced. The county runs no stand-alone booking-photo database. There is no special photo form and no categorical release rule. Review and redaction can trim a response. That distinction counts for more than a blanket claim that a photo is "public."
Publisher takedown processes have their own limits. Mugshots.com Record Maintenance offers a free, documentation-based route for corrections or removal. The result is not guaranteed here. Arrests.org's Sheboygan section has no verified free removal or opt-out page. Stick to its published contact path without banking on a particular outcome. No paid removal service is recommended or linked.
How to Find Sheboygan County Busted Mugshots
The official route shifts as custody shifts. Use the current adult-custody PDF only if the person might still be in the county jail. If that document can't answer your question, don't substitute an assumed live feed. Go to the official source that holds the next record in line.
- Open the Current Inmate List, check its date/time, and scan the PDF for an adult currently in county custody.
- For a county-jail status change or enrollment notification, use the county’s VINE instructions.
- For an arrest report from a municipal agency, ask that city’s police records unit. The county booking record and a city incident report have different custodians.
- For filed counts, hearings, and a court outcome, use Wisconsin Circuit Court Access and narrow to Sheboygan County when the interface allows.
- For a person sentenced to and housed in state prison, use the Wisconsin DOC Person in Our Care / Offender Locator.
- For a historical booking record or a booking image that may be releasable, send the narrow Sheriff request described above.
Where Sheboygan Busted Records Appear
Start with the official sources. Each one covers a different stage of custody or records, so no single channel tells the whole story. A blank result there does not mean no arrest happened. Treat the unofficial entries that follow as leads only. Confirm anything you find against the Sheriff, the originating agency, or the court before you trust it.
| Channel | Photo? | Access and scope |
|---|---|---|
| County Current Inmate List | No | Official weekday PDF for current adult county custody. |
| Sheriff / corrections records | Not promised | Official request route for a responsive booking sheet or image, if maintained and releasable. |
| VINE / VINELink | No | Officially linked custody-status information and notification, not a photo or charge search. |
| WCCA | No booking-photo function | Official public circuit-court case events and dispositions after filing. |
| WI DOC Locator | Not guaranteed on every profile | Official state-prison locator, not a county-booking search. |
| Mugshots.com | Unofficial | Private county-local historical index; do not treat year or initial browsing as a current official feed. |
| Arrests.org | Unofficial | Private county section with filters and archives; availability can be delayed, incomplete, or stale. |
Sheboygan Busted Bookings: Weekday PDF
Forget live portals. Sheboygan's version of a jail roster is a plain PDF. Each weekday morning it gets refreshed, though the county never promises an exact hour, and weekends and holidays sit outside the schedule. There are no search boxes, so you scan the rows yourself: last name, first name, middle name, ID, gender, and age. Check the header too. It carries a report timestamp plus a total of everyone housed at that moment, both worth a look before you rely on what you see.
Know the limits. The list covers adults in county custody at the report time only. A person arrested and released will not appear. Nor will a juvenile, someone in a city police holding cell, or a person moved to DOC, federal, or ICE custody. Bookings from years past are absent too. And the document skips booking photos, charges, bond amounts, court dates, and any saved archive, so it stays a snapshot rather than a full record of who came through the door.
Can a missing name answer the question?
No. Plenty of gaps hide inside a morning report. Someone booked after the last refresh, released before it printed, moved to another agency, or processed in a different system can be absent from the page while still very real. The flip side matters too. A listed name proves custody existed at the report moment. It says nothing about why the person was held or how the case later played out in court.
Sheboygan Busted Booking Feed Limits
No official booking feed exists for Sheboygan County. Not same-day. Not 24, 48, or 72 hours, and not weekly, monthly, or archived. The current-custody PDF is not a booking window, so calling it a real-time arrest log or today's arrests would mislead readers. The same gap applies to the City of Sheboygan, Plymouth, and Sheboygan Falls. None publish an official current-arrest log or photo gallery.
Match the tool to the question instead. For someone held right now, the morning PDF is the answer. For a custody change, VINE sends alerts. For an incident report, contact the Sheriff or police department that handled it. Older or released bookings call for the correctional-records form and a Sheriff records request. News dates and third-party index dates never count as booking dates. They can't fill the missing feed.
Sheboygan VINE Custody Alerts
Wisconsin VINE is the county's official alert system for jail custody. Enrollment is anonymous and confidential. Notices about status changes arrive by phone or e-mail. Sign-up details sit on the county page, which lists VINE at (888) 944-8463 and TTY at (866) 847-1298. When your question is whether custody changed, VINE beats a weekday PDF hands down. It will not show booking photos, feed a public arrest stream, or settle a court case.
The Sheriff has no booking app. No photos, new bookings, releases, or a public inmate roster. DOC runs a separate program called NOTIS, but that one serves state custody and supervision, not county-jail bookings. P3 and Crime Stoppers are tip lines. Nothing there works as an alert service, warrant check, or mugshot search.
Sheboygan Booking Bond Payments
The county's Posting Bonds and Paying Fines page handles money, not lists of people who can leave. Two pay codes split the traffic: 2684 for Sheboygan County bonds, and 5509 for out-of-county, municipal, or child-support matters. The page asks for plenty before it takes a payment. Expect to supply the defendant's name and date of birth, the court case number, the charge or arrest date, and the amount.
Keep expectations realistic. A payment page cannot confirm that someone is currently held, that bond is available, or when release might come. Holds, court direction, and jurisdiction all shape the outcome. For current adult custody, go back to the timestamped PDF or VINE. An out-of-county warrant question gets referred to that other county, since the bond page was never meant as a universal answer.
Sheboygan Booking Cases and Outcomes
The county PDF lists people, not cases. No charges, no court dates, nothing about what happened after booking. For that, turn to WCCA, the public circuit-court system. Search by name or case number, filtering to Sheboygan County when needed. WCCA can surface a case number, caption, filed counts, events, calendars, and dispositions. But it is not a jail roster, and it won't confirm a warrant or promise that every court document made it online.
Need court files, certified copies, or scheduling help? The Clerk of Circuit Court sits at the Sheboygan County Courthouse, 615 N. 6th Street, Sheboygan, WI 53081, reachable at (920) 459-3068. Charges filed at booking often shift; they get amended, reduced, or dismissed. The judgment and full case events tell the real story, more than any PDF line or headline ever could.
Sheboygan Busted Adult and Youth Records
The Adult Detention Center list is not a census of county arrests. Sheboygan runs a separate Juvenile Detention Center at 525 N. 6th Street. It holds 27 beds, all for youth. The adult side has 295 beds, and the public current-inmate PDF belongs entirely to that adult context.
Youth records sit behind extra walls. The Sheriff's request process can redact or remove juvenile material. Separate access restrictions apply too. The adult PDF, a city news story, or a broad records request will not unlock protected youth files. That split is exactly why no single list should ever get sold as a complete Sheboygan County arrest history.
Sheboygan Booking Path and Shared Dispatch
Sheboygan County opened its Adult Detention Center in 1998. The county describes it as a 95,000-square-foot facility. A single 911 Communications Center also dispatches police for Sheboygan, Plymouth, and Sheboygan Falls, so a municipal arrest often ends in county custody. Shared dispatch does not merge the paperwork, though. Each agency keeps its own records, and no combined file exists.
That matters for anyone searching. A city police incident report stays with the police department that wrote it. A booking record lives in the Sheriff's system. A filed case belongs to the courts, and any DOC profile sits with the state. Keeping those files separate is what stops a custody list from being mistaken for a police narrative or a court outcome.
Sheboygan Busted Booking Records After Release
Match your search to where the person is now. A released individual turns up in booking records, not the active busted roster.
| Likely stage | Best official starting point |
|---|---|
| Currently in adult county custody | Current Inmate List PDF, checked against its report date/time. |
| Recently released or an older county booking | Sheriff/corrections records request, then WCCA if a case was filed. |
| Municipal arrest or incident | The arresting police department’s records channel. |
| Sentenced and housed by Wisconsin DOC | WI DOC Locator, which excludes county-jail-only and federal populations. |
| Federal BOP custody | BOP Inmate Locator; it has no public booking-photo function. |
| Current ICE or eligible CBP custody | ICE Online Detainee Locator System; it is a location tool, not a photo service. |
Federal locators work only within their own scope. The BOP locator covers people incarcerated from 1982 to the present, as BOP defines it. You can search it by register number or name. ICE's tool handles current ICE custody plus CBP holds longer than 48 hours, with stated limits. It excludes anyone under 18. Neither source confirms a Sheboygan County booking, posts a county arrest log, or answers a state-court question.
Sheboygan Older Busted Records
Older Sheboygan County bookings get murky fast. The county publishes no retention schedule for adult booking sheets or photos, and it makes no promise of an online archive of past custody PDFs. A narrow request to the Sheriff or the Adult Detention Center works best. Identify the booking or incident as closely as you can, then ask whether the material is maintained, releasable, transferred, or destroyed.
Wis. Stat. § 19.21 sets a baseline for local records, but it guarantees nothing about a specific photo staying online or retained forever. Wisconsin Historical Society local-government records guidance can help when a record was transferred to an archive, though transfer is not automatic and restrictions may still apply. Court records follow separate rules. And an old newspaper story is not the Sheriff's booking file.
Sheboygan County Busted Mugshots by City
The county's three largest cities each run their own police records path, even when an arrestee ends up lodged in county detention. Countywide dispatch never converts a city report into a Sheriff record. Each city page lays out the local route and links back to the county custody, court, and records-request systems.
- Sheboygan Busted Mugshots: the county seat’s police reports belong with the Sheboygan Police Department, while adult county-custody questions use the Sheriff’s PDF and records process.
- Plymouth Busted Mugshots: no official daily arrest log was located; use Plymouth Police records for an incident and the county system for adult detention.
- Sheboygan Falls Busted Mugshots: no official daily arrest log was located; request a department report from Sheboygan Falls Police and use county custody channels when applicable.
