For Sheriff-held records, use the Sheriff open-records process and send the completed form to sheriffrecords@sheboygancounty.com. The Sheriff makes every effort to process requests within 10 working days, although redaction can take longer. No universal public records-counter hours are published.

The Adult Detention Center’s address is appropriate for corrections material. A municipal police report belongs with the police department that created it, not automatically with the Sheriff.
- For an adult currently held at the report time, consult the county’s Current Inmate List and its report timestamp.
- For a county booking sheet or photo, make a narrow Sheriff or correctional records request for material maintained and releasable.
- For a City of Sheboygan report, use the city records portal; Plymouth and Sheboygan Falls requests belong with those departments.
- For a circuit-court event or outcome, start with Wisconsin Circuit Court Access; the Clerk of Circuit Court is at 615 N. 6th Street, Sheboygan, WI 53081, (920) 459-3068.
- For a person sentenced to state prison, use the Wisconsin DOC Locator, not the county list.
